SIMPSONVILLE, SC--North Greenville University won two games over the weekend at the Furman Fall Ball Tournament held at Heritage Park.
The Crusaders opened with a 1-0 loss to Erskine College on Friday, but rebounded for two wins and a tie for the weekend.
NGU was up 8-0 against Aiken Tech before head coach Buster Sturkie decided to switch his lineup around to try people at different positions. Aiken Tech came back to tie the game 8-8.
North Greenville defeated Southern Wesleyan College 9-0 and Spartanburg Methodist 7-1.
Allison Bailey jacked two long home runs, including one 300 foot bomb. Kayla Farmer added another home run.
Freshman pitcher Kristyn Smith pitched 17 innings in the tournament, giving up only one unearned run.
