Softball loses to Pfeiffer
Amanda McElveen went 4 for 5 with 2 RBI on the day

TIGERVILLE, SC- Pfeiffer University took both games of an afternoon doubleheader at North Greenville University. The Falcons won game one 6-4 and game two 6-3. North Greenville falls to 5-23 on the season.

Game One: PU 6 NGU 4

Chelsea Morton picked up the win for the Falcons, pitching three and two third innings, giving up two hits and striking out two. Ashley Warlick took the loss for NGU.

Morton also led the Falcons from the plate, going 2 for 4 with 2 RBI. Sarah Moore went 2 for 2 with an RBI and a run scored for Pfeiffer.

Amanda McElveen led the Crusaders, batting 3 for 3 with two RBI and a run scored. Hope Brewer, Lindsey Eargle, and Brandy Jackson each had two hits apiece.

The Falcons scored three runs in the second inning, one in the fourth, and two in the seventh. North Greenville scored two runs in each of the third and fourth innings.

GAME TWO: PU 6 NGU 3

Dacia Ijames pitched six innings, striking out seven to pick up the win for the Falcons. Katie Eargle took the loss for NGU.

Jessica Culler led Pfeiffer, going 2 for 3 with three RBI. Sarah Moore and Stephanie Bethea each batted in a run.

Lindsey Eargle led the Crusaders, batting 1 for 3 with 2 RBI. McElveen had the other RBI for NGU.

North Greenville scored all three of its runs in the fourth inning. Pfeiffer cut the lead to 3-1 in the fifth inning and scored five runs in the sixth inning.

North Greenville returns to action Saturday as the Crusaders host Piedmont College at 1:00 p.m.
