Hartsville, SC- The Coker College Softball Team took two games from the North Greenville Crusaders on Saturday afternoon in a collegiate softball double-header. Coker won game on 3-1, and followed up with a 9-4 victory in game two. Coker is now 4-1 overall on the season, while North Greenville is 0-2.

Game one, was a pitcher's duel with the score remaining close the entire game. Coker jumped out to an early 1-0 lead after an Anna Lucas triple and a Katie McCauley RBI single. The Cobras added another run in the third when Miranda Klees's RBI single brought around McCauley. Coker's final run came in the fifth inning as McCauley drove in her second run of the day with an RBI double.

North Greenville's only run came in the top of the seventh when freshman pinch hitter Krysta Laird took Shelly Catlett deep over the left field fence on the first pitch of her first college at bat.
