Emporia, KS – Troy Cocco competed in the NCAA D – II National Championships on Saturday in the men's javelin throw. Cocco finished 15^th overall in a field of 22 – athletes from around the country. 
 
Cocco's best throw of the day came in his first attempt when he landed at 62.40 – meters. He also had tosses of 62.28 and 62.04. Saturday's national champion finished with a distance of 73.53 meters. 
 
Troy Cocco's finish earned him a Second Team All – American nod. Cocco is the first field athlete for NGU Men's track and field to compete in the national championships.
