Young Harris, GA - North Greenville jumped out to a sizable first half lead lead but couldn't hold off a second-half surge, falling 16–12 to Lees-McRae on Friday.
The Trailblazers controlled the opening quarter, scoring five unanswered goals after conceding the first, and extended their lead to 6–1 midway through the second period.
However, momentum shifted dramatically after halftime. Lees-McRae Bobcats erupted for seven third-quarter goals, turning a 6–4 deficit into an 11–8 lead. North Greenville battled in the fourth quarter, closing the gap to 15–12 with under three minutes remaining following back-to-back goals from Huls Jr., but Lees-McRae added a late insurance goal to seal the outcome.
North Greenville was led by
Steven Huls Jr., who recorded a hat trick, while
Carson Fuchs added two goals.
Caden Castle paced the offense with three points on a goal and two assists. Six other players scored a goal for NGU.
The Trailblazers finish the 2026 season 11 – 7 overall and 6 – 2 in league play.
