The North Greenville Trailblazers began a weekend conference series with a win over the Southern Wesleyan Warriors with a final score of 17-6 in Central, South Carolina. Both teams scored runs early, with NGU scoring five runs in the first three innings including two home runs by
Lane McGaha. North Greenville's big inning came in the 5th when eight runs scored including a two-RBI single by
Jake Sears and an RBI double by
Thomas Powell.
Cooper Noble would add to the lead with a run in the 6th. The Warriors would score two runs in the 7th before the Trailblazers responded with a run in the 8th and two runs in the 9th.
Matty Brown, who pitched the first 6.0 innings was the winning pitcher.
