Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Trailblazers put together a comeback victory in extra innings against the Railsplitters of Lincoln Memorial University with a final score of 8-7 in the home opener at Ray & Bea Dillard Field. NGU fell behind early on as a three-run home run by LMU in the 1st put the Trailblazers in an early deficit. However,
Josh Foulks would get the Trailblazers on the board with a two-run home run in the bottom of the inning. The Railsplitters were able to extend their lead back to two with an RBI double in the 3rd. However, North Greenville responded in the 4th with a bases-loaded walk by
Skyler Hegler. LMU would strike again with a two-run home run in the 5th. They would score another run in the 6th. The Trailblazers fought back in the 8th inning with solo home runs by
Thomas Powell and Lana McGaha. Down by two in the 9th, North Greenville would even things up with a two-RBI single by
CJ Dean to extend the game to extra inning. After a scoreless 10th, McGaha would be the hero with a walk-off single to left field to bring in the winning run. With the win, NGU's record remains unblemised with a 4-0 record.
Lane McGaha finished with a three hit performance including a home run and walk-off single. He also posted 2 RBIs, a walk, and a run scored.
CJ Dean finished with 3 hits including 2 doubles in addition to 2 RBIs and a run scored.
