Tigerville – A slow shooting second half proved costly for North Greenville against Ferrum on Saturday as the Panthers earned a 64-56 win over NGU.
North Greenville shot just 20 – percent in the first half against the Panthers. The Trailblazers had just 19 – points in the first half while the Panthers took a 19 point, 38 – 19 lead in to intermission. The second half would be better for NGU offensively but the big first half by the Panthers proved too much for the Trailblazers. North Greenville was able to hold the Panthers to just 26 – points but were unable to put much of a dent in to the lead as Ferrum kept the Trailblazers at 26 second half points as well.
Maliyiah Mason led NGU with 15 – points off of the bench with eight rebounds.
Janyia Williams had seven points while
Quinn Johnston also had seven points.
