Wilson, N.C. – A tough shooting day for North Greenville resulted in a lop-sided loss to Barton who handed NGU an 89 – 54 loss in conference play.
The first half was competitive as NGU had its best half of the game shooting it at a 38 – percent clip. The Trailblazers scored 18 of their 33 first half points in the paint and added nine more second chance points but trailed by six at intermission. The Bulldogs opened the second half on a 16 – 0 run, putting North Greenville in a 22 – point hole. It would not get any better for NGU who shot just 24 – percent in the second half. Barton led by as man as 36 – points in the win over NGU, dropping the Trailblazers to 5 – 5 in league play.
North Greenville had no players score in double – digits.
Carter Bobbitt and
Josh Linder led the team with eight points each, Linder added six blocks to his stat line.
Jacob Brown and
Savion Brown finished with seven points each.
Jacob Brown led NGU with 10 – rebounds.
