Box Score Greenwood, S.C. – A last second goal lifted Lander over North Greenville on Thursday night as NGU fell 2 – 1 to the Bearcats in the 2025 season opener. 
The Bearcats took the lead in the first half with a goal in the 29^th minute of the game. North Greenville's defense held Lander Scoreless for the next 60 – minutes. The equalizer came in the 64^th minute of the game when Lander helped NGU with an own – goal. The Trailblazers and Bearcats remained equal until Lander scored the game winner with 22 – seconds left on the clock. 

North Greenville will be back in action on Saturday when they travel to Carson – Newman for a 5 PM kickoff.
