Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Trailblazers began the final weekend conference series of the regular season with a 10-3 win over the Warriors of Southern Wesleyan University this afternoon at Ray & Bea Dillard Field. SWU took the lead early on, but NGU would quickly take the lead from there and wouldn't look back. Matty Brown took the mound for his ninth start of the season. Southern Wesleyan claimed an early lead with a sacrifice fly in the 2nd inning. However, North Greenville would claim the lead for themselves in the bottom of the 3rd with a four run inning the included RBI singles by Gideon Antle and Thomas Powell. The Warriors put up a run in the top of the 4th, but North Greenville would respond with another four run inning in the bottom of the 5th including a two-RBI double by Gideon Antle. A solo home run in the top fo the 6th would go on to be SWU's final run of the game. NGU would score a run in the bottom of the 6th and a final run in the 8th. Matthew Taubensee pitched a scoreless 9th to end the afternoon. Matty Brown was the winning pitcher, recording his ninth win of the season.

Gideon Antle finished with three hits including a double as well as three RBIs and two runs scored. Bryce Roddey recorded two hits and a run scored. Matty Brown pitched 6.0 strong innings, allowing just two earned runs on five hits and two hit batters while striking out two.

The series will conclude tomorrow on senior day with a doubleheader beginning at noon.
