Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Trailblazers won both games in a doubleheader this afternoon at Ray & Bea Dillard Field to complete the sweep of the Erskine Flying Fleet, with a game one score of 5-3 and a game two score of 13-5. Game one saw NGU take an early lead, and was able to hang on for the win. Game two proved to be a similar story early on, but North Greenville would pull away in the later innings to end things with a sizable victory.
Matty Brown took the mound to start game one. After the Flying Fleet began things with a run in the top of the 1st, NGU would respond with a three-run home run by
Tristan Salinas. Pitching would handle things until the 5th inning, when the Flying Fleet posted a run. However, North Greenville would once again respond in the bottom of the inning when
Josh Foulks hit a two-RBI double to right field. Erskine scored one last run in the 6th inning, but
Matthew Taubensee would collect the save in the 7th inning.
Matty Brown was the winning pitcher.
Brady Price started game two on the mound. After a scoreless 1st, Erskine would claim an early lead with a solo home run in the 2nd. North Greenville claimed the lead in the bottom of the inning with four runs including an RBI triple by
Landon Shaw.
Tristan Salinas added to the NGU lead with a two-run home run in the 3rd inning. The Flying Fleet closed the deficit down to two runs with a three-run home run in the 6th inning, but North Greenville would open the lead back to four with two runs in the bottom of the 6th. They would open up the lead further with four runs in the 7th including a three-RBI double by
Brayden Renfrow. Both teams would score a run in the 8th, but
Thomas Skipper would close out the game with a scoreless inning.

Tristan Salinas finished the day with three hits including two home runs and a double and provided five RBIs and four runs.

Matty Brown pitched 6.0 innings, allowing three runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out six.
NGU will return to action on Friday, April 4th against the Trojans of the University of Mount Olive on Friday, April 4th in Mount Olive, North Carolina.
