Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Trailblazers ended a three-match losing streak with a 3-2 victory over the Lions of Emmanuel University this afternoon at Hayes Gymnasium. NGU ended the day trailing in service aces and blocks but led the way in kills, assists, and digs. Emmanuel started things off with a 25-18 set win. However, NGU reponded with a dominating 25-16 set win to even things up. The Lions bounced back to take set three with a score of 25-22, but the Trailblazers came back with a 25-21 set win to force a 5th set. North Greenville would ultimately hang on to take a 15-13 set win to end things. The win improves North Greenville's overall record to 7-11 with a 5-6 record in conference play.
Michael de la Cruz posted sixteen kills, seven digs, four service aces, and three block assists.
Benjamin Andexler recorded twelve kills in addition to four digs and a block assist.
Jacob Koch provided ten kills without a single attack error. He also finished with a block assist and a dig.
North Greenville will take on the Tornado of King University on Saturday, March 29th in Bristol, Tennessee.
