Tigerville – North Greenville used a big fourth quarter on Saturday to earn an 80 – 62 win over Mount Olive in Hayes Gymnasium.
North Greenville led for much of the game on Saturday but only by six points as the game headed in to the fourth quarter. The Trailblazers opened the final frame on a 16 – 2 run powered by a pair of three pointers from
Quinn Johnston to fuel the run. NGU scored 32 – points in the quarter, the most in a quarter this season so far.
The Trailblazers got a lift from their bench in the win over the Trojans which scored 30 – points compared to just 14 for Mount Olive. NGU also scored 17 second chance points compared to just five for the visitors.
Maliyiah Mason led NGU with a double-double, scoring 22 – points while collecting 10 – rebounds.
Quinn Johnston had 17 points and was 5 – 5 from three – point range.
North Greenville's final game of the 2025 – calendar will be on Wednesday at Southern Wesleyan.
