Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Trailblazers were victorious in their conference opener, defeating the Bobcats of Lees-McRae College with a final score of 83-72 this evening at Hayes Gymnasium. NGU built up a double-digit lead in the 1st half, leading by as much as nineteen before the Bobcats ended the half with five straight points to make the score 41-35 in favor of the Trailblazers. LMC cut into the deficit throughout the second half, pulling back within four points of NGU. However, the Trailblazers were able to take over the momentum late in the half, ultimately ending the night with an eleven point win. North Greenville finished with a .463 field goal percentage and led by a points in points off turnovers 14-13.
Savion Brown put together a strong performance in his second game of the season, finishing with 23 points, 4 rebounds, a steal, and an assist.
Carter Bobbitt finished just one rebounds shy of a double-double, posting 14 points, 9 rebounds, an assist, and a steal.
Prince Jones-Bynum recorded 14 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists.
NGU will return to action on Wednesday, December 3rd against the Converse Valkyries at Hayes Gymnasium.
