Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Trailblazers fell to the Pioneers of Tusculum University with a final score of 3-1 at Hayes Gymnasium. NGU fell behind early as Tusculum would take the opening set with a score of 25-20. North Greenville bounced back by taking set two with a score of 25-23, but lost set three 25-23 as well as set four 25-21. NGU struggled offensively overall, finishing with a .185 attack percentage while Tusculum posted a .271 percentage. Although North Greenville led the night in service aces 6-4 as well as blocks 7-6, they trailed in kills as well as assists. Service errors proved to be an issue for both teams, with the Trailblazers committing sixteen of them while Tusculum was responsible for thirteen of their own. 

Thomas Roper put together a fifteen kill performance while also providing three digs and an assist. Parker Gantt finished with eleven kills, three digs, an assist, a service ace, and a solo block. Michael de la Cruz posted seven kills, three digs, two service aces, and an assist.

NGU will head to Due West, South Carolina to face the Flying Fleet of Erskine College on Saturday, February 8th.
