Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Trailblazers are still in search for their first win of the season as they fell to the Blazers of Valdosta State University with a final score of 1-0 this afternoon at Pepsi Stadium. NGU led in shots for the first half, but were limited offensively in the second half as VSU was ultimately the only team to find the back of the net. That goal would come in the 60th minute as the Blazers would break the tie. North Greenville was unable to break through the Valdosta State defense throughout the remainder of the match as VSU was ultimately able to complete the shutout. Valdosta State finished the match with a total of thirteen shots with six on goal while NGU finished with seven shots and two on goal. The Trailblazers did lead the afternoon in saves 5-2 as well as corner kicks 8-5.
Haleigh Holland recorded four saves at goalkeeper with just one goal allowed.
Macy Metcalf posted two shots with one on goal.
Aleisha Lamb put up NGU's only other shot on goal.
North Greenville will return to action on Wednesday, September 11th against the Pacers of USC Aiken at Pepsi Stadium.
