Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Crusaders put up a strong fight this evening at Hayes Gymnasium but ultimately fell short to the 10th ranked Waves of Pepperdine University with a final score of 3-1. Pepperdine narrowly took set one in extra points, but NGU was able to respond with a 25-23 set two win. The Waves were able to handle things in sets three and four, combining for just three attack errors and taking both sets with a score of 25-19. North Greenville kept up with Pepperdine throughout the night, but attack errors proved to be costly as the Crusaders finished with twenty-two errors and a .174 attack percentage for the night.
Diego Rosich put together an impressive night, finishing with 16 kills as well as 8 digs, 3 service aces, and 2 block assists.
Michael de la Cruz posted 9 kills, 4 block assists, 4 digs, and a solo block.
Logan Keothavy also recorded 9 kills as well as 6 digs, an assist, and a block assist.
The Crusaders will face the Golden Eagles of the University of Charleston on Friday, March 15th in Belmont, North Carolina.
