NGU took the opening set in extra points 26-24, but fell short in the remaining three sets with final scores of 25-16, 25-23, and 25-20. Although NGU nearly matched Belmont Abbey in total attacks, they would otherwise trail by a wide margin in most categories including service aces, total blocks, and kills. The loss puts North Greenville's overall record at 6-5 with a conference record of 5-2.
