The North Greenville Trailblazers were able to get on the board late, but ultimately fell to the Patriots of Francis Marion University with a final score of 2-1 in Florence, South Carolina. Francis Marion was the first to get on the scoreboard in the 15th minute. The score would remain the same until NGU was able to score the equalizer when
Valerie Hernandez was assisted by
Kate Mikalsen in the 81st minute. However, the score would be tied for less than a minute as FMU instantly reclaimed the lead with a goal. FMU dominated the afternoon in shots 28-3 while North Greenville recorded all eight saves of the match.
