North Greenville fell to the Belmont Abbey Crusaders earlier this evening in Belmont, North Carolina with a final score of 83-70. Although NGU controlled most of the first half and leading by as much as thirteen, Belmont Abbey would bounce back to take a five point lead into halftime. From there, BAC would manage a comfortable lead throughout the remainder of the game, ultimately going on to win by double digits. Points off turnovers proved to be a key factor. Although NGU committed less turnovers, they were only able to turn eight turnovers by Belmont Abbey into two points off turnovers. while BAC turned five turnovers by NGU into nine points.
Zak Perdew led North Greenville with 15 points and also provided 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and a steal.
