The North Greenville Crusaders have advanced to the second round of the Conference Carolinas Tournament with a 68-58 victory over the Warriors of Southern Wesleyan University this evening in Mount Olive, North Carolina. After trailing by six at the conclusion of the first quarter, NGU went on to outscore the Warriors in the second, third, and fourth quarters. NGU closed the gap down to four going into halftime, which was followed by a dominant third quarter that resulted in a .615 field goal percentage by North Greenville as well as a seven point lead. NGU would continue to put up points in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Warriors 19-16 including ten made free throws to secure the win. NGU would lead the way in points off turnovers as well as fast break points. The win is NGU's third ever victory in the Conference Carolinas Tournament since joining the conference in 2011.
