Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Crusaders improved to 8-3 overall and 2-2 in conference play with a 58-45 victory over the Lees-McRae Bobcats this afternoon at Hayes Gymnasium. NGU was able to pull away throughout the first half, leading 32-12 at halftime. The two teams played evenly in the third quarter, with North Greenville scoring two points more in the quarter. Although Lees-McRae put up a strong fight in the fourth quarter, the Crusaders would hang on for a thirteen point victory. North Greenville struggled offensively in the fourth quarter but otherwise shot well, ending the game with a .420 field goal percentage. LMC went into halftime shooting just .091 percent from the field but improved in the second half to finish with a .209 percentage from the field. The Crusaders led in point off turnovers 24-17.
Geassy Germano finished a solid afternoon with 15 points, 5 rebounds, 3 steals, and 3 blocks.
