North Greenville Dominates Fourth Quarter to Secure Win Against Florida Tech

Box Score The North Greenville Crusaders began their weekend in Florida with a 66-50 victory against the Florida Tech Panthers in Daytona Beach, Florida. The two teams finished with a nearly identical field goal percentage, with NGU posting a .375 percentage from the field while Florida Tech finished with a .378 field goal percentage. However, points off turnovers proved to be the difference between the two teams as NGU was able to capitalize off of the Panthers' twenty-two turnovers with twenty-three points off turnovers. North Greenville committed twenty turnovers of their own, but Florida Tech was only able to score seven points off of those turnovers. NGU ended the opening quarter with a 17-15 lead while both teams finishes with ten points in the second quarter, allowing the Crusaders to take a 27-25 lead into halftime. Florida Tech outscore the Crusaders 15-13 in the third to make the score tied heading to the fourth. However, North Greenville went on to dominate the fourth quarter, scoring twenty-six points while Florida Tech was limited to just ten points.

Geassy Germano posted a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds as well as 3 steals and 3 assists. Greyson Boone also put together an impressive performance with 11 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 steals. Abi Oates posted 12 points, 5 steals, an assist, and a rebound.

NGU will return to action tomorrow in Daytona Beach to take on the Eagles of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
