North Greenville Defense Dominant in Second Consecutive Shutout

Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Crusaders defeated the Bobcats of Lees-McRae College with a final score of 2-0 to remain atop the Conference Carolinas standings with a 4-0 record. The shutout is NGU's second in a row and have now posted a shutout victory in three of four Conference Carolinas matches. North Greenville was able to get on the scoreboard in the first half when a corner kick by Molly Platt resulted in a goal by Elainee Sprinkle. The Crusaders would go on to post a total of five shots in the half while holding the Bobcats to just one. NGU continued to put up shots in the second half including an unassisted goal by Romee Contreras. Lees-McRae would get some offense going, putting up five shots in the half. However, none of them would be on goal as the Crusaders would complete the shutout without a single save being necessary.
