North Greenville escaped Mount Olive, North Carolina with a hard fought 3-2 victory over the Trojans of the University of Mount Olive. The two teams alternated sets with NGU taking sets one, three, and five. Although the Crusaders led in attack errors 21-18, kills and service aces made up for them as NGU led in both categories by a good margin. The Crusaders also led the afternoon with a .282 attack percentage for the match while the Trojans finished with a .243 percentage. After dropping an extremely competitive fourth set, NGU found itself in trouble in the fifth and final set, trailing by as much as four. However, North Greenville would recover and end with a 7-4 run to come out of Mount Olive with the victory. The win marks the first time in program history that the Crusaders have won at Kornegay Arena. This comes after also defeating Barton for the first time ever on the road.
