North Greenville fell behind in the first half and ultimately dropped a weekend conference contest on the road to the Warriors of Southern Wesleyan University with a final score of 77-56 in Central, South Carolina. After NGU shot well in the opening quarter by going seven of fourteen from the field, they would then struggle in the second quarter by going just two of ten from the field to trail 43-23 at the half. Both teams made seven field goals in the third quarter but SWU would slightly increase their lead by two going into the fourth. North Greenville would lead the fourth quarter by one point, but the Warriors would finish with a twenty-one point lead. The two teams committed their share of turnovers, with the Warriors narrowly leading the category 23-22. However, Southern Wesleyan was able to capitalize more off of NGU's turnovers, scoring thirty points off turnovers while NGU managed eighteen.
