Kendrick Clark Named Freshman Defender of the Year; Record Six Players Named GSC All-Conference

Birmingham – Kendrick Clark earned the Freshman Defensive Player of the Year while program record six players earned a spot on Gulf South All – Conference teams this season including a pair of First Teamers and four on the Second Team. 
 
De'Iveon Donald and Myles Prosser earned spots on the GSC First-Team All-Conference while Corey Watkins, Lewis McBeth, Kwame Livingston, and Kendrick Clark were voted GSC Second Team performers. 
 
De'Iveon Donald continues to be one of the best defenders in the Gulf South and at North Greenville. The former Defensive Freshman of the year, Donald is first on the team this season with 90 – tackles including 45 – solo stops and 45 assists. Donald also has five tackles for a loss this season and a sack while helping in pass defense with a break-up to go along with four hurries and a fumble recovery. Donald was Second Team Gulf South nod in 2021. 
 
This is the second First Team All-Conference nod for Myles Prosser who once again led the Gulf South in punting average by six yards this season, averaging 46 yards per kick this season. He finished with 20 of more than 50 – yards, a category he leads by a large margin among GSC punters. Of his 56 – punts he has downed 22 of those inside the 20 – yard line and forced eight fair catches with a long of 62 – yards. Currently he is second in all of Division II. Prosser also handles the kickoff duties with 57 kicks this season. He's totaled 3,498 yards averaging 61.4 yards per kick with 23 – touchbacks.  
 
Kendrick Clark is the second straight player for North Greenville to claim the Freshman Player of the Year for defense following De'Iveon Donald's 2021 season. Clark turned in to one of the league's most respected pass defenders this season, leading the gulf south in interceptions with four picks on the season two of which were returned for a touchdown. Both touchdowns were in the same game, including a 94 – yard score. He finishes his inaugural season with 29 – tackles (21 Solo, 8 Assists) and two pass break-ups.
 
The defensive line this season was anchored by senior Kwame Livingston who landed on the Second Team All-Gulf South team following his final season in Tigerville. Livingston fought through double-teams this season to register 38 – tackles with 11 – solo and 27 – assists. He one sack to go along with five quarterback hurries three break-ups and a fumble recovery. 
 
Corey Watkins has added an explosive element to North Greenville's offense, powering to a career high 1,079 yards rushing this season. Watkins averaged an impressive 6 – yards per carry (179 attempts) and found paydirt five times this season while averaging 107 – yards per-game. He is the first running back to eclipse 1,000 yards rushing for North Greenville since 2016.  
 
The first offensive lineman from North Greenville to land on an All-Conference team, Lewis McBeth has started in all 11 of NGU's games in 2022 and has graded out the highest of any offensive lineman over those games, averaging 89-percent this season. He allowed just four sacks in more than 300 passing attempts and has also been an anchor in the running game with 11 – knockdowns to pave the way for North Greenville's runners which are averaging 130 yards a game this season.
