Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Crusaders were once again plagued by turnover as they fell to the Panthers of Claflin University with a final score of 79-69 this evening at Hayes Gymnasium. After a first quarter that resulted in a 14-14 tie, Claflin went on to take a five point lead into halftime. The two teams performed fairly evenly in the 3rd quarter, with the Panthers slightly adding to their lead to take a 50-43 lead into the 4th quarter. Claflin would hold a double digit lead throughout the majority of the quarter, and although the Crusaders would shoot well to close things out, the Panthers were able to maintain a healthy lead with free throws to end with a ten point lead. NGU committed a total of 23 turnovers but shot well overall with a 44.4 field goal percentage.
Jayda Glass was the player of the game as she put together a career day with 28 points.
