Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Crusaders put together a dominant afternoon with a seven-goal performance in a 7-1 victory over the Tornado of King University on a windy afternoon at Pepsi Stadium. NGU ran away with it early on, scoring three goals in the first eighteen minutes of the match. After a scoreless remainder of the first half as well as a scoreless twenty minutes to begin the second half, it seemed that the Crusaders were going to settle for a three-goal victory. However, that would change with
Romee Contreras scored a goal with an assist by
Alexah Fite to increase the lead to four. After the Tornado were able to get on the board with a goal, Contreras would strike again with an unassisted goal in the 81st minute. Then to close things out,
Jada Patrick would score two goals herself within a two minute span to put NGU up by six. The Crusaders dominated the afternoon in shots 22-3 including fourteen shots on goal.
