Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Crusaders improved their conference record to 9-0 with a 3-1 victory over the Lions of Emmanuel College. EC took a 1-0 lead into halftime and led for over forty minutes, but in the 72nd minute the Crusaders took over the match by scoring three goals within a seven minute span.
Natalie Johnson was able to get the Crusaders on the board with an equalizer, her second goal of the season. Less than a minute later,
Romee Contreras would score her tenth goal of the season with an assist by
Ansley Robinson. One more insurance goal was scored by
Isabella Gyurich with an assist by
Molly Platt. North Greenville went on to lead the shot column 17-7 with twelve of those shots on goal. With the victory, the Crusaders maintain sole possession of first place in the Conference Carolinas standings.
