Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Crusaders put up a hard fight, but ultimately fell to the Crusaders of Belmont Abbey College in the Battle of the Crusaders with a final score of 60-49 this afternoon at Hayes Gymnasium. NGU outscored BAC in two of the four quarters, but a struggle of a second quarter for North Greenville and a productive third quarter by Belmont Abbey proved to be too much to recover from. NGU trailed by as much as seventeen nearly halfway in the fourth quarter, but put up a fight to cut the deficit down to ten and went on to lose by just eleven. Second chance points told the story as North Greenville struggled defensively under the basketball, allowing BAC to combine for nineteen offensive rebounds with nine of them by Brittany Autry.
