Box Score The North Greenville Crusaders began their 2022 season on a strong note, achieving a 3-1 victory over the Pioneers of Tusculum University in Tusculum, Tennessee. NGU took the opening set comfortably, the went on to win a second set that resulted in seven ties and three lead changes. After dropping the third set the Crusaders left no doubt with a dominating fourth set. This marks North Greenville's third consecutive opening-day victory and the fourth in program history. North Greenville led the night in total kills with a total of 41. NGU also doubled Tusculum's service aces with a total of eight for the evening. Blocks also proved to be a key factor as the Crusaders led the night in that category as well with a total of nine.

Individual
- Diego Rosich led NGU with eleven kills and kept the error count low with just two for a .474 attack percentage. He also provided two service aces, four digs, and a block assists.
- Gregory Torres began his collegiate career with eight kills and a team-leading nine digs.
- Emanuel Adames posted a team-leading four service aces as well as five kills, two solo blocks, and a block assists.
