Box Score The North Greenville Crusaders fell to the #9 Tars of Rollins University with a score of 22-6 in Winter Park, Florida. North Greenville fell behind by a wide margin in the opening half. Rollins put the game out of reach early, and although the Crusaders fought hard throughout the contest, the Tars ultimately took a one-sided victory. Rollins was effective in limiting Rachel Kellogg, NGU's top scorer. Instead, Ashley Thatcher and Jillian Chiesa stepped up, scoring two goals each.
Rollins started off the game on fire, going up 12-0 within the first fifteen minutes. Rachel Kellogg would finally put the Crusaders on the board with just over twelve minutes remaining in the first half. After the Tars responded with a goal, Jillian Chiesa would score her first goal of the game by free position. NGU would then connect for a goal by Sam Pelkey to make the score 13-3. RU then scored the next two goals, but North Greenville closed out the half with another goal by Thatcher to cut the deficit to eleven at the half.
The Tars would officially put the game on ice with six consecutive goals to start off the second half. Thatcher was finally able to end the scoring drought. With just under four minutes remaining in the game, Chiesa would score her second of the game with an assist by Aly Estes. Rollins would close out the game with a final goal take a sixteen point victory.
