Box Score Tigerville, SC - NGU put together a dominating performance to enter the win column with a 105-70 victory over the Eagles of Pensacola Christian College. The Crusaders led by as much as 45 and scored 34 points off turnovers. Jacob Redding led in points with 16. Six different Crusaders hit double digits in points.
After a quick jumper by Joe Conley to begin the game, the Eagles would hit a three-pointer to take what would become their only lead of the game. NGU followed with a six-point run to lead 8-3. North Greenville would continue to lead by a comfortable margin, but PCC did respond with a six-point run to cut the deficit to just two points to trail 24-22. However, from there the Crusaders would dominate the remainder of the half. A 10-0 run by NGU would make the score 48-29. From there, North Greenville would continue to pull away, leading by 18 points at halftime.
An ice cold start by Pensacola Christian in the 2nd half allowed NGU to jump out to a commanding 77-38 lead. Seven minutes into the half, the Eagles would finally end their drought with a three-pointer by Austin Lewis. Leading 88-53, NGU put together a 9-0 run. Not long after, the Crusaders would hit triple digits for the first time since Januray 3rd, 2019 when these two teams played last. North Greenville led by as much as 45 before settling for a 105-70 win.
The Crusaders will face the Mars Hill Lions on Saturday, November 16th in Tigerville.
