Box Score Tigerville, SC - Women's Soccer nearly completed a comeback against the Bearcats of Lander University. Down 2-0 in the 2nd half, a goal in the 62nd minute gave the Crusaders new life. NGU recorded three shots through the remainder of the game, but were unable to score the game-tying goal.
The game went scoreless for the first 35 minutes of the 1st half. A goal by LU's Katie Newton in the 36th minute put the Bearcats on the board first. North Greenville put up 3 shots in the 1st half.
Lander took a 2-0 lead early into the 2nd half with a goal by MacKenzie Yandle. NGU fought back with a goal by Megan Biehl. The Crusaders continued to fight hard, but ran out of time. Both teams improved offensively in the 2nd half with 6 shots each.
Megan Biehl had a productive game with a goal and 4 shots with 2 on goal.
Brianna Rowe was effective at goalkeeper with 4 saves.
Shelby Shepherd recorded an on goal shot.
