HOW IT HAPPENED
Frist Set
Lees-McRae started the match off with a 5-0 run from tough serving by Chris Woolslayer. North Greenville was able to fight back and tie it at 10 with a solo block by Ben Hamsho. After being down 13-15, the Crusaders tied it up at 15 with a kill by Jackson Gilbert. Once again NGU found themselves down but were able to tie it at 23 with a kill by Hamsho, but this time LMC will get the final two points of the set, earning a 25-23 victory.
Second Set
With a hitting percentage of .550, the Crusader took a 25-19 set win to tie the match up at one set apiece. A kill by Gilbert gave NGU an early 14-9 lead causing LMC to call their first time out of the set. The Crusaders would take a 21-16 lead with a service ace by Hamsho. A service error by Woolslayer would end the set for the Bobcats, giving the Crusaders win.
Third Set
Set three saw ten tied scores and just 2 lead changes as North Greenville took a 25-23 set win. Grayson Lawrence led the Crusaders with four kills hitting .400 for the set. A kill by Lawrence ended a 3-0 run for the Bobcats bringing the Crusaders to within one 8-9. NGU will go on a 5-1 run to end the set with a kill by Aaron Campbell.
Fourth Set
Tough serving by Matthew McManaway came big for the Crusaders as two service aces in a row gave me an early 12-8 lead. Two kills by Robert Bowling would bring the Bobcats two within 2, but another run by the Crusaders gave them an 18-12 lead. A kill by McManaway increased NGU's lead to 20-13. A service error by Ethan Garnder gave NGU the 25-18 set win.
