Box Score Princeton, N.J.—North Greenville fell to 0-2 on season Thursday night following a 3-0 (16-25, 12-25, 19-25) to Princeton University.
The Crusaders hit just .167 percent while the Tigers hit at a .532 clip. Matthew McManaway and Grayson Lawrence led the way with eight kills each for the Crusaders. Alexander Schinzing dished out 22-assists while also leading the team with six digs.
North Greenville fell behind early 2-0 with a pair of strong wins from the Tigers in the opening frames. The Crusaders trailed by nine points in the third but cut the deficit to just four points on a kill from Grayson Lawrence (16-20). The Tigers would regroup though and score five of the final eight game points to earn the non-conference win.
The Crusaders will look to earn their first win of the season on Friday afternoon when they take on Sacred Heart at 2pm in Fairfield, Connecticut.
