Banner Elk, N.C. – North Greenville dropped a conference game to Lees-McRae on Saturday evening falling 3-0 to the Bobcats.
Matthew McManaway led North Greenville with 15-kills. McManaway was a solid threat for the Crusaders on Saturday with a .522 hitting percentage. Alexander Schinzing paved the way with 31-assists.
Defensively, Dustin King led with six digs while McManaway put away two solo and two assisted blocks. The Crusaders struggled from the service line, dishing out 15-errors with no aces.
North Greenville led early in the first set but the Bobcats overcame the two-point deficit and jumped out to a 20-16 advantage. Lees-McRae would go on to win the first set 25-19. The Bobcats would go on to take the third and fourth sets by scores of 25-16 and 25-23.
North Greenville fell to 4-11 overall and 4-5 in Conference Carolinas play. The Crusaders will travel to Due West, South Carolina on February 28th for a 7pm first serve.
