NGU SEASON COMES TO A CLOSE AFTER LOSS TO FALCONS

Misenheimer, N.C. - The NGU Men's Volleyball season came to end on Saturday after dropping a 3-0 match to Pfeiffer University in the first round of the Conference Carolinas tournament.

The Crusaders were the lone new program out of three new varsity teams at NGU to make an appearance in the playoffs. The Falcons wasted little time flexing its muscle taking a 25-11 win in set one. The Falcons finished the season as the Conference Carolinas champions.

Pfeiffer would go on to take sets two and three with scores of 25-16 and 25-23 to advance to the league final four. The Crusaders hit just .085 on the day, capped by a 10 kill frame in the third set. Matthew McManaway and Robby McCoy led North Greenville with six kills each. Alexander Schinzing had 22 assists while Dustin King had six digs to lead NGU.

The Crusaders finished the season 10-20 overall and 4-14 in Conference Carolinas.
