NGU CONTINUES LATE SEASON SLIDE IN LOSS TO COKER

Hartsville, S.C.—The NGU Men's Volleyball team continued its late season struggles on Tuesday evening, dropping a non-conference game with Coker College 3-1.

The Crusaders earned the first set of the night with a 25-20 win but would begin to falter in the later sets. NGU hit at just a .087 clip in set two as the Cobras ran away with a 25-19 win. NGU had just seven kills with seven errors in the third set as Coker went on to take a 2-1 lead with a 25-21 win. Coker earned the win over NGU in the fourth set with a 25-20 win, evening the season series at 1-1 after the Crusaders won the first meeting on January 23rd.

Matthew McManaway scored 10 kills for NGU while doing his part on the defense side of the net with two solo and three assisted blocks. Carlos Suarez had 29 assists for the Crusaders Dustin King led NGU with 10 digs.

North Greenville is now 8-16 overall on the season. The Crusaders will travel to Erskine College on March 30th for a Conference Carolinas showdown with the Flying Fleet at 7pm.
