NGU Wins Two Events at UAB Vulcan Invite

The North Greenville Crusaders began the new year with an impressive showing at the UAB Vulcan Invite in Birmingham, Alabama. NGU recorded four top five finishes including two event wins. 

JJ Sherman took 1st place in the 60 Meter Dash, recording a time of 6.81 seconds from Heat 1, Lane 6.

The team of JJ Sherman, Tevin Richardson, Silas Robinson, and Jackson Junkins placed 1st in the 4x400 Meter Relay, setting a program record time of 3:17.76.

Tevin Richardson put together a strong performance in the 400 Meter Dash, finishing 2nd with a time of 48.55 seconds. Dalton Reitmeier also competed in the event, placing 33rd with a time of 57.83 seconds.

Jackson Junkins took home a 3rd place finish in the 200 Meter Dash with a time of 21.93 seconds. Hawk Jacobs made his NGU debut in the event, placing 41st with a time of 25.12 seconds. TJ Freeman placed one spot behind Jacobs with a recorded time of 26.70 seconds.

The team of Briley Arnold, Collia Rowe, Malery Ward, and Destiny Croker finished 9th in the 4x400 Meter Relay with a time of 4:12.39.

Victor Shellhammer impressed with an 11th place in the 1 Mile Run and a recorded time of 4:34.17. 

Amir McCall placed 14th in 800 Meter event, finishing with a time of 2:02.21.

Jacob Holcome took 19th in the 3000 Meter Run, recording a time of 9:40.90. Clay Knight was not far behind with a 21st place finish and a time of 9:56.83. Samuel Flook finished one spot behind Knight with a time of 10:24.26.

Up next for North Greenville is the Gamecock Opener on January 17th in Columbia, South Carolina.
