Richardson earns spot in indoor national championships in 21-seconds

Tigerville, S.C. – North Greenville sprinter Tevin Richardson qualified for the NCAA Division II national meet over the weekend with a solid performance at the Last Chance Meet hosted by JDL Fast Track in Winston Salem.

Richardson ran in the men’s 200-meter dash and turned in the time of 21.84 (21.46 converted), earning himself a first-place finish and the 15th fastest time in the NCAA this past indoor season.

Richardson is the only male runner to qualify for nationals this season. He was named to the USTFCCCA All-Region team on Tuesday afternoon it was announced by the organization.

The championships will be held March 9-10 in Pittsburg, Kansas at the Robert W. Plaster Center. Pittsburg State University and the Crawford County Convention & Visitors Bureau will serve as co-hosts of the championships. The championships will be streamed live on NCAA.com
