Birmingham, AL – North Greenville’s JJ Sherman wrapped up the 2017 indoor season for the Crusaders on Saturday with a fourth place finish in the men’s 60-meter finals.
Sherman third in his heat on Thursday afternoon to secure a spot in Saturday’s championship race, clocking a 6.71 time. He was second in his heat overall on Saturday’s race, finishing just .01 behind the first place qualifier.
On Saturday, Sherman finished fourth out of eight runners as he broke the tape in 6.77-seconds. The first place finishers from Academy of Art finished in a time of 6.60 while second place was a 6.65.
Sherman will now compete with the Crusaders in the outdoor track and field season which begins on March 16th at the 49er Classic hosted by UNC Charlotte.
