Tigerville, S.C.—The North Greenville Men's Track team will be well represented this weekend at the NCAA Indoor National Championship as Devin Wannamaker and Terry Davis will represent the Crusaders and the Conference Carolinas in Birmingham, Alabama.
Wannamaker earned a spot in the chase for an individual national title after putting together a strong showing at the conference championships in February. Wannamaker was a first team All-Conference selection in the 60-meter dash after crossing in 6.79 seconds. He was second in the 60-meter hurdles. Wannamaker worked his way up to second in the regional rankings and 16th in the nation overall.
Also checking-in in the national rankings for the Crusaders is Terry Davis who is ranked 13th in the country in the triple jump. Davis also turned in a top performance at the Conference Carolinas Championships with a distance of 14.29 meters.
"It is an exciting thing that these NGU T&F Student-Athletes have qualified for nationals," remarked head coach Jake Simms. "They will be competing against the very best in the nation, an opportunity that they have earned through an outstanding indoor season."
The 2015 Indoor Championships will be held in Birmingham, Alabama at the Birmingham CrossPlex, a 200 meter banked track.
