Crusaders Break Into The Record Books

Clemson, SC – Competing against the likes of Clemson, South Carolina, Coastal Carolina and Georgia, the North Greenville University men’s track and field team was in action in the Tiger Paw Invitational at Clemson, SC.


In the sprint category, Cejay Thomas set the school record in the 200 meter dash with a time of 23.77, Freddie Martino finished in sixth place in the 300 meter dash with a school record time of 35.86. Martino also set the school record in the 400 meter dash with a time of 52.15.


In the distance portion of the meet, Jacob Simms set the school record in the 800 meter run with a time of 1:57.66. Will Belue (2:41.79) and John Shealy (9:54.93) each set school records in the 1000 meter run and 3000 meter run respectively.


The Crusaders will be back in action on March 3 at the PowerSox Invitational in Hickory, NC for the first outdoor track meet in school history.
