North Greenville falls to Tusculum

Greeneville, TN—North Greenville men’s tennis inched closer to the end of the regular season on Tuesday with a 6-3 loss to Tusculum College.

The Crusaders fall to 6-14 on the season after non-conference loss.

North Greenville dropped two of three doubles matches to start the day. The Crusaders got a win from the team of Sjors van Eck and Jose Gomez who earned an 8-6 victory. The Pioneers earned wins of 8-3 and 8-2 in the first and third doubles positions.

The Crusaders got a pair of wins in the singles play but it wasn’t enough to close the gap. Jose Gomez won 7-6/5-2 in his singles match while Edmundo Torres won 6-3/6-4 in the fifth position to earn NGU its third win of the day.

The Crusaders will wrap up the 2017 regular season on April 15th against Johnson C. Smith University at 10am in Tigerville.
