North Greenville swept by Lander

Tigerville, S.C. – North Greenville men’s and women’s tennis teams were swept by the Lander Bearcats on Wednesday afternoon, both dropping 9-0 decisions.

North Greenville’s men fell in doubles play by scores of 8-6, 8-4, and 8-3 while the women dropped decisions of 8-1, 8-5, and 8-2.

In singles play, Camille Duhan fell 7-6 (7-3)/6-4 while Christina Kiessling dropped a 6-1/6-3 decision. Maria Vargas lost 6-1/6-3 followed by a 6-3/5-7/10-3 loss from Kylie Sandusky. Fernanda Santos de Lucca dropped a 6-3/6-3 final while Graysen Elms lost 6-2/6-4.

For the men, Sjors van Eck and Sergio Araujo lost 6-1/6-0 and 6-4/6-2 while Jose Gomez fell 6-1/6-2. Alejandro Torre lost his singles match 6-0/6-1. Marcelo Yshikawa followed with a 6-0/6-0 loss while Edmundo Torres lost 6-2/0-6/10-8.

The Crusaders will host King University on April 20th at 1pm at Vance Tennis Complex.
