NORTH GREENVILLE STAYS SPOTLESS IN LEAGUE PLAY AFTER WIN OVER LMC

Banner Elk, N.C.—The NGU Men's Tennis Team improved to 4-0 in Conference Carolinas play Saturday after an 8-1 win over Lees-McRae.

The Crusaders swept through double's play as Sergio Araujo and Jose Gomez got things going with an 8-4 win. The teams of Santiago Robles and Alejandro de la Torre and Sjors va Eck and Marcelo Yshikawa also earned 8-4 wins.

NGU also cruised to five wins in singles. Jose Gomez won his singles set 6-4/6-4 while Alejandro de la Torre took a 6-4/7-5 decision to clinch the win. Araujo won his match in three sets with a 6-3/6-1/6-3 win while Santiago Robles (7-5/6-3) and Marcelo Yshikawa (6-4/6-1) also won their singles sets.

The Crusaders are now 5-5 overall and will take on UNC Asheville, on March 24th.
