NORTH GREENVILLE LOSES NON-CONFERENCE DECISION TO CARSON NEWMAN

Tigerville, S.C.—The North Greenville Men's Tennis Team lacked answers on Wednesday afternoon as the Eagles of Carson Newman took a 6-3 decision in non-conference play.

North Greenville picked up one win in three chances during double's play as Jose Gomez and Sergio Araujo came out on top of an 8-4 win. The teams of Sjors van Eck and Marcelo Yshikawa and Santiago Robles and Alejandro de la Torre both dropped 8-4 decisions.

NGU's only wins in singles came from Arajuo and Robles who won 5-6/6-1/6-2 and 7-6/5-7/10-7. Van Eck fell in three 6-4/6-4/12-10 while Jose Gomez lost 2-6/6-2/6-3. de la Torre fell 6-4/6-2 while Yshikawa also lost in the sixth spot 6-2/6-2.

North Greenville fell to 3-5 on the season after Wednesday's loss. The Crusaders will take on King University on March 20th in Bristol, Tennessee.
